Essential Job Functions:
- Plan, layout and perform all bench and machine operations to build, repair or to alter tools, dies, gauges, fixtures and other tooling
- May act as a lead person on any given tooling project
- Perform critical bench and assembly operations to fit, align, calibrate, adjust, assemble and finish work
- Do development and experimental work, select allowances and materials, proceed from own conception in absence of design and specifications
- Troubleshoot and analyze tool and die problems for corrections and improvements and implement recommendation
- Respond to tool and die concerns from the production area.
- Ensure that all tools and dies are maintained according to schedule and that repairs are completed expeditiously.
- Assume responsibility for quality, workmanship, and dimensional accuracy of assigned work
- Follow all company policies and procedures as applicable to position
- Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedure
- Understand and follow health, safety, security, and environmental practices
Non-essential Job Functions:
- Travel maybe required
- Other task, duties, and responsibilities as requested by the Operations Manager or other member of management
- Provide reports on tooling as required

Education and/or Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent
- Journeyman card preferred or equivalent experience
- SolidWorks experience a plus
- Previous tool building experience is required
- Progressive die trouble shooting experience required
