Electrical Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

Complete accurate drawings, including wiring schematics, conduit and equipment layouts, and detail drawings for construction.
Create labels, panel schedules, and other documentation needed for construction.
Perform design, layout, and load calculations.
Complete accurate BOM’s, and assist purchasing with part substitutions.
Work with production as needed on questions pertaining to design.
Assist with quality control and testing of finished products.
Assist with cost estimating for electrical portion of projects.

Required Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating with other Engineers, Production, and Quality Control
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or 2+ years’ experience in a related electrical field.
Valid Driver’s License with ability to occasionally travel between area facilities.
1+ year experience with AutoCAD preferred

Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and experience performing electrical load calculations preferred.
Experience with large power generation equipment or with layout and construction of electrical equipment rooms preferred.
