Nesting Programmer

This role is responsible for programming jobs for multiple different cutting machines including Amada Lasers, Turret punch presses, and plasma cutting tables.

This role is responsible for programming jobs for multiple different cutting machines including Amada Lasers, Turret punch presses, and plasma cutting tables.
Role and Responsibilities
- Organize CAD files from design engineers.
- Use SigmaNest software to create cut packages. Use tools within Sigmanest to maximize utilization and inIncrease use of remnants
- Keep multiple cutting machines organized and balanced based on machine capabilities and material properties.
- Creatively solve production-related issues through nesting processes.
- Select machine and tooling configurations to manufacture parts cost effectively.
- Respond to requests for rework.
Preferred Skills and Requirements
- Experience with SigmaNest software preferred.
- Experience operating CNC equipment cutting sheet/plate is a plus.
- Experience with AutoCad &/ Solidworks is a plus.
- Knowledge of metal cutting, dimensional tolerancing, cutting geometry, and tooling.
