Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Including the following, however, additional duties may apply as required)

• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
• Sets up and operates power saws to cut, miter, and trim metallic workpiece according to specifications
• Selects and installs blade on machine, using hand tools
• Sets controls to adjust speed, feed rate, and blade tensions
• Positions guides, stops, holding blocks, or other fixtures to secure and direct workpiece, using hand tools and measuring devices
• Mounts workpiece in holding device, manually or using hoist
• Verifies dimensions of finished workpiece, using measuring devices

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of working as a saw operator
• Blueprint reading and follow shop routings

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations required. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane, forklift or stand-up may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
