Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, the Sales Assistant will perform a variety of clerical duties of a routine and recurring nature including skilled typing, filing, data entry, and preparation of standard forms.
Posts various data documents (e.g. orders, quotes, etc.) into computer and types various forms and documents.
Proofreads paperwork for part number and general accuracy.
Reviews customer order books and follow-ups on actions required
Executes faxing and alphanumeric filing.
Operates all office machines.
Sorts and distributes incoming faxes and mail.
Answers incoming calls and handles them in a professional and efficient manner.
Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one (1) year office experience.
Familiar with clerical practices, office procedures, automated equipment, computers, ERP systems, CRM systems and math.
High attention to detail.
Ability to transfer data from paper into computer formats.
Fluent with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to work with others.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Thorough knowledge of English language.
Good typing skills (35 – 40 wpm).
Ability to speak and write in a foreign language (i.e. French, Spanish).
Experience working with an International Trade team.
