CAD Designer

Location: Glasgow, MO

  • Utilize all applicable past jobs as a base point in starting a new drawing
  • Prepare drawing(s) utilizing large/ shippable weldments and as many multiple views as needed to accurately represent the part
  • Check detailed shop drawings
  • Create and check assembly drawings, including bolt lists
  • Process plate shapes using CNC software for production
  • Inform supervisor of any schedule or timeline changes
  • Present layout to Senior Project Manager, Sales, and President to check and/or approve
  • Make any changes as indicated from the check layout
  • Once approval drawings have been signed, prepare parts sheet and obtain permission to release layout drawing for detailing
  • Prepare new engineer job(s) files
  • Communicate with sales and/or customers as required
  • Make various calculations (belt, trajectory calculations, etc.) as required
  • Meet project timelines
  • Other duties as assigned 
  • Experience with utilizing AutoCAD 2D and 3D, Inventor as well as Advanced Steel
  • Minimum of 5 years of work related custom design experience
  • Ability to develop drawings from conceptual layouts and sketches for structural and mechanical engineering reviews.
  • Knowledge of belt conveyors, components, transfer point design and chutes.
  • Skills to develop designs into bills of material and detail drawings for shop fabrication and field installation.
  • Ability to deliver quality work in a time matter
